ReplyDeleteStand By Me is my favorite movie. The main characters Gordy, Teddy, Chris, Vern go on a little adventure to see a dead body. Through out the whole movie they just have fun but also they stick up for each other.
ReplyDeleteInception is one of my favorite movies, by far. I realize that it just came out, but it was so good that it became my favorite movie.
ReplyDeleteThe movie is about corporate espionage through dreams. The main characters, Dom Cobb and Arthur, his point-man, are extracting information from a powerful business man by the name of Saito. Saito reveals to them that it was a test, and that he wants to hire them for a job, which involves inception - planting an idea into someone's head. They are to preform this on the son of Saito's dying business rival, and are to implant in him the idea to destroy his fathers business. Thus they go on on an adventure through their targets dreams, desperate trying to implant the idea while Cobb is haunted by his past.
This movie is so good because it is a thought provoking film. Honestly - the movie is so open to interpretation, there are at least 6 interpretations to what was going on at the ending on during the movie. It's a movie that makes you think about it long after the credits roll. This movie leaves a big impression, which is why I consider it one of my favorite movies ever.
My favorite movie of all time has got to be the new movie: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, because it had many parts that are extremely unrealistic, but at the same time they make sense and that makes it a good comedy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie of all time would have to be The Breakfast Club. It revolves around five high schoolers from different cliques forced to spend a day of detention together. I loved the humor, sarcasm, and the ultimate truth: Teenagers may appear complicated and diverse, but are more alike than they seem.
ReplyDeletemy favorite movie would have to be Freedom Writers. It is about a class of high school freshman from different projects and gangs. they are all put in the same class together so they don't get along very well. They are breaking out into fights during class, skipping school, and doing or selling drugs. Their teacher Ms. Gruele somehow finds a way to get through to everyone in someway. They go through freshman and sophmore year not knowing what was about to be taken away from them. Ms. Gruele, being a first year teacher can only teach freshman and sophmores, so when it comes time for that class to move on to junior year nobody wants to leave becuase they all love Ms. Gruele so much, so they decide to fight the board of education in order to have her as a teacher next year. Overall this movie was very inspiring to me personally.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite movie of all time would probably be, Slumdog Millionaire. Although it was about a man slowly answering each questions with only the knowledge of his past, I personally think it shows how much one person can learn from their life experiences and how precious your own life can be as well as others around you. It makes you think about how lucky you are to have the life you already have rather then taking it for granted. The movie really grabs your attention at a point and opens your eyes in a way. That's why Slumdog Millionaire is one of my all time favorite movie.
ReplyDeleteI would say All Time Low : Straight to DVD because their my favorite band and its a documentary on how they got to be where they are now. It was truely inspiring to me, but after seeying danny's comment i would have to agree and say freedom writers is probably the best movie ive ever seen. Its based off of a true story which really captured my attention from the start. In the beginning it showed the violence and struggles of the kids; how they were different from eachother and all shared different backgrounds. When they first stepped into Mrs. Gruele's classroom you noticed how they all segregated themselves from eachother by gangs and/or race. As the movie went on you noticed that Mrs. Gruele was bringing the kids together by having the class become more interactive and less of a teacher preaching her lesson to a group of kids. After all these activities the students started loosening up and became a real class. They began to sit next to, and associate themselves with everyone in the class. I thought that was extremely moving to see from what they started as, to what they became.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie would be Renaissance Man. I really like this movie because it shows how one person in your life can make such a big difference. Especially a teacher. All Danny Devito did was teach the young adults english and read a bookj with them. He didn't get respect from the other generals and any other adults. All of them underestimated him. The general even tested Devito physically to humiliate him. It was very inspiring and uplifting to see what the teacher made the kids into in the end. I also agree with MaTaki that Freedom Writers was a moving story and looking at how Mrs. Gruele put up with them and changed them so much.
ReplyDeleteThe award for my favorite movie would have to go to Despicable Me. Though I'm not a big fan of animations, this movie was hilarious and kept me laughing throughout the entire movie. Gru, a completely despicable villian, adopts three girls to plot against his rival, Vector. Throughout the movie, his bond strengthens with the girls and ends up loving them like they were his own. However, there was a deeper meaning behind the comedy and laughter. There was the heartwarming theme of love and family. This movie did such a good job of cracking their audience up, and melting their hearts at the same time.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie of all time is definitely 500 Days of Summer. This movie is about a man, Tom, who becomes hopelessly in love with a young woman named Summer, who doesn't believe in love. Tom is well aware that Summer is way out of his league, but he discovers that they actually have a lot in common. It's not long before Tom finds himself falling head over heals for her. In fact, he is conviced that he has found his soulmate, but sadly for Tom, Summer isn't looking for romance or anything serious. This romantic comedy takes viewers on a roller coaster ride through the 500-day long period Tom and Summer share. From fights to intimate moments, 500 Days of Summer consistently delivers wit and humor that is simply irresistible. This movie builds character and I loved every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie would have to be Despicable Me. I found it very humorous and enjoyable. It was silly but still got to the point, and I loved how the animation was for all ages. It had a great message and I think there were some sort of lessons learned for all of us. The characters really tugged at my heartstrings, especially Agnes, the unicorn loving little girl.
ReplyDeleteI like a lot of movies, but I don't really have a favorite one. But if I had to choose I would go with W Pustyni i w Puszczy. Its a Polish movie, based on a book written by Henryk Sienkiewicz. I think the translation is In the Desert and in the Jungle. I like this movie a lot because its full of adventure. The plot of this movie is difficult to describe because there is a lot of information that leads up to the kidknapping of Stanley and Nelly. The movie mostly focuses on their escape through the African desert and jungle. It's a nice movie, and my favorite part is when Nelly befriends a baby elephant.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Detroit Rock City. It is a pretty cool movie about the 70's and rock music. Four highschool kids in their own band go to see the KISS show in downtown Detroit. They go through many difficult situations while in Detroit including having their tickets given away. After trying very hard to get tickets they get some at the last second and get to see the show. I like the movie because it takes place in the 70's and everything is different from how it is now.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Liar, Liar. This movie is my favorite because it's hilarious. The acting in this movie is fantastic. I enjoy watching Jim Carrey in any movie and the fact that he was put in this movie made it even better for me. This movie always makes me laugh everytime I watch it and it's definitely a movie I can watch over and over again. I love the plot to the movie, as well. It's well put and it's one movie I know I'll never get tired of.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of movies I like, but my all time favorite would have to be Spirited Away. Although this movie is animation I think any age group would like it. The idea of this movie is unthinkable and unique. This movie is about a girl named Chihiro that gets separated from her parents in a world of spirits, witches, monsters and a bath house. She learns more about who she is and changes as a person. While watching this movie I found myself loving Chihiro's character and her cheerful personality. The plot of this movie was just so different, but everything fit in so well.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Batman Begins. I'm not a fan of the comic book superheros turned into movies, but i have to say that this movie is fantastic. The special effects and the acting was amazing. It is a story about a boy named bruce who's parent were killed due to gang violence. When he is older their death causes him to become a vigilante to fight crime.
ReplyDeleteIn the history of movies, there are many that would be considered as my favorite; but one, especially, caught my attention the most. My favorite movie would have to be "Ogniem i Mieczem"; the translation I believe, is "With Fire and Sword". It is a Polish movie, based on the historical novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz, the same author that Monica mentioned. It takes place in 17th century Poland during the Cossack uprising against the Polish honor. While the bloody battle takes place, there is a struggle between a brutal Ukrainian and a vivacious Pole, over a beautiful woman's heart. It teaches you the lesson of life and how someone can be true to their country. That's why it would be considered my favorite movie of all time.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that my favorite movie is 21. The story is about an MIT student that doesn't have enough money to continue his education. His math professor soon realizes his amazing skill with numbers and invites him to a card counting club. He then gets addicted and keeps going until he's caught. My favorite part of the movie is when they're at the casino and counting cards. As the dealer is dealing out cards the main characters brain goes into overdrive locking each card into his memory.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie of all time is "Enter the Dragon" starring Bruce Lee because I felt that his acting was very nice and the direction was superb along with the cinemtography. Each camera shot was well chosen. The script was also well written and the screenplay was too. I felt the story was good enough for me but that is not why I like this movie. I like it because of the action sequences and Bruce's martial arts. I felt they shot every action sequence wonderfully with the direction. The background score was also well composed. The movie is nice to watch if you want 2 hours of just pure entertainment.
