    YOU 2

In the second half of the book you go to one of Zack’s parties where during it he deliberately reveals to everyone that one of the girls is anorexic , making fun of her. During the scene Zack tells everyone that she is probably upstairs crying, but then “He acts like he’s about to puke and a few people groan and a few more laugh” (Benoit 123). Soon after Zack invites you to the school to piss in Jake the Jocks locker for beating you up. You then proceed to “unzip your fly[…] You can hear the warm stream soaking the sweater and splashing down the books” (Benoit 156). Later you go to the mall for an interview and end up getting a guarantee from the manager that he’s going to hire you. The manager goes on to say, “I’ll tell you right now, I doubt I’ll see anyone as good as you” (Benoit 177). In the end of the book Zack invites you to the school yet again to show you what he has accomplished. He tells you that he has slept with Ashley, the girl of your dreams, just to break her heart to in turn break yours. Her panties were placed in the school’s trophy cabinet with her name on it for the whole school to see. You smash your arm through the glass trying to defend her honor just for the glass to fall and cut through your arm leading to your death.
In the book only one character reaches his goal just to regret it in the end. The other character would lose his life because of it. Throughout the book Zack has been secretly looking for weaknesses that you have to later exploit them in an attempt to ruin your life. These weaknesses was taking advantage of your job opportunities, the girl of your dreams, and any friends you had or have gained. In the end it gets you killed just trying to defend the honor for the girl you liked. You throughout the book are struggling enough as it is before Zack comes along just to run any chance you might have had into the ground.
I can’t relate to the events that have taken place in this book ,but I can tell you that what really impressed me was how Zack could so easily manipulate situations into his favor just to , in the end, destroy peoples’ lives. I can’t say that I enjoyed him ruining others lives , but the way he did it and how he did it. The fact that he could get people to trust him and to turn them against each other for his own enjoyment.
The book overall was very boring barely leaving room for any commitment to be made. Above all I didn’t like this book because of the character and how it could reflect the author leaving me to despise the author as well. Also because of the fact that the author puts you in the main characters place making you feel unprepared or inadequate in overcoming easily dealt with situations such as even talking to him in the first place.
