Here are a few books really like:

This one is about a group of Japanese junior high kids who are forced by their teachers to fight to thte death. I really enjoyed the "what would you do?" mental excercises the author puts the reader through. Believe it or not, it's in the IMC.

This one is an iconic western. I like it for the way the characters talk to each other. I have this one in the classroom, along with about 30 other books by the author.

I like this one a lot, too. Ken Bruen's books are brutal, relentless, tragic, and hillarious. Open one up. They look like poems. They are like poems, only they're better than poems. (Most poems at least.)

  1. My favorite book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. It is witty and impossible to get sick of reading over and over again. Tom and Huck are such lovable people, and I believe any child can relate to the way they react to the events that happen to them. Tom Sawyer, over and over, is showered in glory by his adventures, and if I were to be able to choose to live in his world rather than mine, I would.

  2. One of my favorite books is Twilight. The reason this is one of my favorites is because the fiction aspect of it holds my attention more than a non fiction book. The vampires and ware wolf rivalry cause for many problems for the main character Bella, and action throughout the whole book.

  3. My favorite book so far is "the Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" by Arthur Conan Doyle. I find it very informing and interesting throughout all the stories (the book is a collection of short stories). I especially love the main characters; Sherlock is my favorite character because he shows that anything can be solved with logic and anyone could solve a mystery if one pays attention to the details. I cannot say that anyone truly relates to Sherlock Holmes, no one in modern day has that logical of a mind but still I believe we can relate to his friendship between himself and his faithful sidekick, Dr. Watson. All the stories in this book are original and clever and I just cannot seem to think of the solution to each mystery before being answered at the very end of the story by a witty Sherlock Holmes.

  4. My favorite book is The Last Song by Nicolas Sparks. I love this book because it has a plot that most books do not have and it is so hard to put down. This book sucks you into it and makes you feel like you are part of the story. I think that people can really relate to the characters in this book and you can read it again and again and it won’t get old.

  5. My favorite book so far is Jurrassic Park. I like it because it has an intriging plot and some suspense which i like in a long book because you dont know when it's coming but when it does its good. So over all it's a great book.

  6. I absolutely love reading books, so it is hard for me to choose just one favorite. One of my all-time favorites would have to be A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I love this book because it shows how women are treated in Afghanistan. It is both heartwarming and heartbreaking, moments caused me to both laugh and cry. However most of all it was a true eye-opener, it made me realize how lucky we are, and yet how others are so mercilessly and brutally treated. I really do recommend reading this book, it is one you won't soon forget.

  7. I liked reading the Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale as a whole but my favorite would have to be the second book: The Lost City of Faar. What I liked most about the book would be the amount of time and effort put in descrbing things in the book that make me feel like I'm really there seeing those things. Also it's not very predictable that as soon as I read a few

  9. My favorite book would have to be the book Heat. It is a great story, that involves a very passionate baseball player and how hard he competes in every game. I liked it because I love baseball and try my best to be the best I can be. There are many twists and turns in this book that makes it very exciting and really fun to read!

  10. My favorite book is the book that I am reading now and it is called The Firm by John Grisham. It is my favorite book because it always feels like it is the climax of the book when really you are not even close to it. There are many unexpected events that occur over every couple of pages, so that you are always intrigued. It is about a lawyer and his firm and that might sound boring, but it is a fantastic book. I think that you should try it and see how it goes. I promise you that you will be hooked in the first five pages and never want to put it down.

  11. The best book I have ever read is “The Road”, by Cormac McCarthy. It’s about a boy and his father traveling to the West coast in a post-apocalyptic world. Every sentence is so detailed, you are able to picture exactly what the author pictured. The plot is also very interesting which keeps the reader very interested. I could read “The Road” again and again. Simply put, it’s amazing.

  12. The best book I have ever read would probably be "Monster", by Walter Dean Myers. It is a very interesting book about a teenager accused of murdering a shop keeper. It has point of views from each of the victims, witnesses, and the accused. It gets your mind thinking hard about who really committed the crime.

  16. My favorite book is The Things They Carried by Tim O'brien. I like this book because it is not like many other books, it is a compilation of memoirs and vignettes of Tim O'Brien who. The thing i liked most about the book was that the author's writings gave only subtle hints about the story. Personalities of his squad mates could be determined by even their personal belongs such as MnM's, comic books, diaries, and letters from past lovers.

  17. My favorite book is, Hornet Flight, by Ken Follet. One of the reason why it is my favorite book is that it has a very well written lot line that connects every part of the book. Another reason is that it has suspense, and it keeps you guessing. It is just an overall excellent book and it is great fun to read.

  18. My favorite book that I've read so far has got to be Feed by M.T. Anderson. It is about a group of teenage friends some time in the future who have these things in thier heads called feeds. These feeds are mini computers that allow them to do anything you can do at home on a computer. These kids are very reckless and do whatever they want and it ends up leading to their misfortune. 20. My favorite book is Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. I like this book because it had a very unusual format and plot. This story was about three troubled teens locked up in a psychological facility after suicide attempts. One of the characters Conner comes from a rich family and is an overachiever; he is in the facility because he had an affair with his teacher which led him to attempt suicide. Tony is homosexual, or at least thinks he is. He had a very troubled past with his mother. Finally Vanessa is depressed and tries to cut herself. They all go to the facility to get help and they tell their un-real stories to a counselor. I enjoyed this book because it kept me hooked and wanting to see what would happen next.

  21. My favorite book is twilight. I like this book because of the romance between Bella Swan, human, and Edward Cullen, vampire. I also like this serie because of the problems between Edward and Jacob Black, ware wolf. This book series is one of the only book series that keeps me interested the whole time. Whenever I read this book I can't put it down, I get sucked into the book.
